. Step 3: Secondary Treatment - Aerobic (oxygen-loving microorganisms that are naturally found in waist) are then used to consume the organic materials in wastewater, which creates heavier solids that can be removed easily.
. Step 4: Disinfection - Finally, sodium hypochlorite are added, a chemical similar to the one found in household bleach, to disinfect the wastewater and eliminate any harmful microorganisms.
. Step 5: Sludge Treatment - Sludge is digested by anaerobic (microorganisms that thrive in low oxygen environments).
